I did weight loss wrong for years…

I did weight loss wrong for years. After having my kids, I just wanted a flat tummy again… little did I know the painful yet purposeful journey ahead.

Year by year, I learned better and it’s gotten me to where I am and what I coach on now.

❤️ 2012: Lose the baby weight (10 years ago now, craaaazy)
APPROACH: Circuit workouts, running, calorie counting w/some macros
.
RESULT: I lost the baby weight (on the scale) after 9 months. My tummy still stuck out, and the tone and shape of my body wasn’t where I wanted it.
.
NEXT STEP: ‘I still have a tummy pooch so I’ll just keep losing weight to flatten it.’ (This wasn’t the actual solution, but it was the only thing I knew.)

❤️ 2013-2015: Developed a love for exercise but my relationship w/food went downhill and led me to yo-yo and ultimately gain 25 lbs.
.
APPROACH: Workout (circuit workout, group fit class or run), eat healthy all day then I’d lose control with food. If I ‘messed-up’ I’d go overboard on eating before I started over the next day.
.
RESULT: Yo-yoing for years. Tons of effort to go backwards. It was draining.

❤️ 2016-2017: FOCUS ON HEALING MY RELATIONSHIP W/FOOD AND MY BODY

I couldn’t break the cycles on my own. I kept PROMISING to myself I’d stop binging. It never worked. I was stuck.
.
APPROACH: I hired a great coach in this field and I dove deep into emotional intelligence & leadership.
.
RESULT: I created a positive and empowered relationship with food. I learned to love my body and myself as it was in the present. I also learned I WAS WORTHY OF EVERYTHING I WANTED! And, how to honor my emotions and goals.

❤️ 2018: LEARNED HOW TO REHAB MY CORE & FLATTEN MY TUMMY

APPROACH: Worked with a pelvic floor specialist to heal diastasis recti. Continued research for months and created a program to help women with it.
.
RESULT: Finally flattened my tummy without losing weight.

❤️ 2019-2022: Body shaping & toning in a lifestyle-friendly way! (No long workouts or food restrictions)

APPROACH: Bye bye circuit workouts and hello strength training to tone & shape. Nutrtition: portioning and balancing for food freedom + body transformation.

❤️ NOW I KNOW …. it does not need to be this hard!!!!! If I could go back 10 years ago, and coach myself now, OH MAN, I would’ve saved myself so much energy and struggle!

AND, working through those challenges has made me the coach I am today
.
Now, I can help women with ALL those challenges by educating and guiding them to success and ending the struggles solutions, instead of hoping the next diet or set of workouts will work!

👉👉 It’s deeper than ‘eat less and workout more.’ It’s more specific. I know. I lived it. And, I tend to get obsessed with finding solutions for my goals. Luckily, it led to all these breakthroughs and smart methods that I get to coach women on today!
